In 1983, John Burk purchased The Louis Weisz Shops in Philadelphia, PA, a business founded in 1918. The Louis Weisz shops were operating primarily as an apparel and uniform company.
Style-Wise Fashions operated the stores until 1989, when John Burk shifted the emphasis of the business to embroidered equestrian products. The name soon changed to Style-Wise Monograms.
As this new line of equestrian products grew, Mr. Burk also began to explore additional appealing options for this marketplace. One item that has become an exceptionally strong seller is the Laser Art Crystal. Because of the many options for sizes, designs, and engravings, the Laser Art Crystal becomes a very customizable, and therefore desirable, item. Now, with the almost automatic availability of marketing and selling on a web site, these works of art can be shown in all their versatility - now at Style-Wise.com.
